Goodbye messages

A short message when someone leaves.

You will

A leave posts one message in the channel you chose.

Examples use the default prefix, a comma.

Before you start

  • Welcome is optional. Goodbye uses the same command family.

Set it up

  1. Open the goodbye card. Bare goodbye shows whether it is on and which channel it uses.
    ,goodbye
  2. Point a channel. Pick a public channel. The leave message posts there.
    ,goodbye channel #welcome
  3. Turn it on. Turn goodbye on after the channel is set. Leave and rejoin on an alt to read it.
    ,goodbye on

Troubleshooting

  • If nothing posts, goodbye is off or the channel hides near.
  • If the text is wrong, edit the goodbye message in the same settings card.

Verify it works

  • Leave on an alt. The goodbye message appears once in the channel you set.
