Welcome and goodbye

Pick a channel, write a script, turn it on, save. Preview lives in Studio.

You will

A join posts one welcome. A leave posts goodbye only if you turned that on.

Examples use the default prefix, a comma.

Before you start

  • You own the server to use the dashboard, or you can paste a script with Discord commands.
  • Open Embed Studio if you want a live preview.

Set it up

  1. Pick a channel. Welcome posts in one channel. Goodbye can share it or use another. near must be allowed to send there.
  2. Write the script. Use variables from Studio only, such as {user} and {guild}. Do not invent tokens. Click a variable in Studio to insert it.
  3. Turn it on and save. On the web: Welcome panel, toggle on, Save changes. In Discord, the same database is live after you save. Goodbye is a separate command if you want a leave message.

Do not

  • Do not invent script tokens. If Studio does not list it, it will not render.

Troubleshooting

  • Empty messages usually mean the feature is off or the channel was deleted.
  • If the preview looks right but Discord is blank, save again and confirm near can send there.

Verify it works

  • Join on an alt. Confirm the welcome posts once. Leave and confirm goodbye if you turned it on.
